The shifter is stuck between N and D... You know how you have to pull the lever towards you in order to change gears .. will mine is jammed and I cant pull it forward... this leaves me stuck with only N and D ... I went into the engine bay and used a screw driver to move the detent away from the lever .. .. that allowed me to change the gears but after running it back and forth once or twice, it gets stuck again (ie: the gap I created by wedging the screw driver in there closed up) ... any suggestions? ... There are a few bolts on the column but I dont know what holds what in place... or is there something going on inside the column near the shift lever ... by the way, its a 402 w/ what I guess to be a TH400.. non-tilt column ....
