If that is cheating, then I am guilty!!! I tried to grind the welds on the inside while it was on the jackstands, but that proved to be a PITA! So I grabbed the engine hoist and lifted one side in the air and worked on the lower side, then let it down and did the other side. It did make for much nicer welds.
