I'm not sure what brand mine is since I got it in trade from another board member, but I believe the compressor is from Qunicy. It's a 220V 5hp single stage unit with a 60 Gallon upright tank. Like cable guy saidm there aren't any really quiet compressors from what I have seen. I sam going to use some cheap (used) office partion dividers to block it off to help cut down on the noise. I saw someone else do it and it seems to do pretty well without building a closet or seperat room for it.
Least with me, you sort of learn to live with it. Heck I get nervous if I don't have the noise/hear mine running. Normally means something is wrong.
