to find an old Chevy 4x4 that came with an diesel ( oldsmobile Block ) not the
Chevy diesel and then the Buick motor will work. The olds mounts also bolt up to Buick and in a 79 Chevy the holes were already in the motor towers to accept the olds motor mounts. The easiest solution is too buy the adapter
plate for the tranny bolt pattern, I think around 80 bucks. Than you could install Buick, Pontiac, Olds, or Caddy engines in your Auto 4x4. Way harder to do on a 4 speed 4x4. I need to find an old bellhousing so I can put another 500 Caddy to work! Good luck, Buick 350 is a fine truck motor, more torque
