A friend of mine with a 78 C10 lowered his truck the cheap way...
He cut the front springs a full coil (off the bottom). He had the entire spring in a bucket of icewater and he used a sawzall. He then made some "custom" rear hangers, and removed a leaf. Twas bout a 3/5 drop.
