I think if he isn't going to hook up the choke wire, Then take the choke off completely. Otherwise when it is real warm outside the choke will be open and the idle will be off again. The choke is 1 wire hook up and set it once and forget it, If the temp is always warm out the choke will never cause the choke to close, If the temp drops the choke will give him a little faster idle. To adjust the choke so it never closes I think he just has to loosen 3 small screws then turn the choke till it opens. This should be done cold.
