Yep, white is a clean canvas and you can do wrap for temporary lettering too. Have you seen the Rat's Nest thread ? Jim's car is spectacular and the lettering looks like real paint.
This is his COPO that was restored and painted the original LeMans Blue. All the other colors are wrap.
