I am new to the forum. I made a couple of posts here because I am hunting a V-12 GMC 702. I want to make a heavy ratrod.
Anyway I made a living working on some heavy engines for 41 years. Our heaviest one weighed 320,000# without the turbocharger. Just a wild guess it weighed 10,000#. It produced 4100 bhp @ 330 RPM. A V-10 2 stroke Dresser-Rand pipeline compressor. The V-10 holds 2200gallons of oil. I posted pictures of a 2000 bhp being overhauled on this thread:
