I took my truck to the track last night for some testing and went a 7.13 @ 96.15 w/a 1.57 60' in the 1/8. This was a motor pass. I have a '66 Chevy lwb with a 421 sbc, TH350, truck 12-bolt w/4.88s @ 3820 lbs. I have an NX Gemini quad plate on the motor, but haven't tried it at the track as of yet. With the amount of wheelspin that I had last night, I'm considering trying a P.G. trans. to calm some of the spinning and also to be able to spray the motor hard out of the hole. Do any of you guys run a 'glide, and if so, did you notice much of a difference from running a 3-spd.? I know most people will say that a 3-spd. would be a better choice in something this heavy, and I guess I could take some gear out of the rear. I have a set of 4.10s in the shop that I could try.
