I know those kids too, they were (*)^)(*^ intimidating for almost ever. I've gotten to the point drums come pretty easy though, 40 years on occasion will do that. Doesn't help to be self taught though, I don't read music, and never cared to sit with a band. My only complaint is the improvement arrived same as the arthritis in my thumbs, no big deal.
There's always room for improvement, better I play the more I realize I kind of sucked the status before
never fails. They're a blast, though I only hit them about once a week, it's all my body can take
