What is the advantage to using the gen 4 water pump on the gen 5 engine? I'm reading all this with a lot of interest- I'm doing my research for a potential 2015/2016 L83 swap into my '70.

Is GM using the vacuum pump on the L83 just for vacuum assisted accessories or are they scavenging the crankcase too?

thanks
