front axle 8 lug
Hello all,
anyone here have an front 10 bolt or 44 collecting dust? how about auto hubs. Mod,, move this is needed, THank you, Chris |

You may want to reconsider using the auto hubs as they are not all that reliable...especially in the colder climates

I hear that alot,,, I run a set on my 89 v2500 for ~600k miles and never had an issue.
With my Dentside, even with high pinion 44, the drive shaft angle is steep and not good at highway speeds. This is not a wheeling truck,, but in the snow ice it is nice to engage 4wd when needed and disengage when on the highway. |

If you go for a 10 bolt--try to get a later model out of a suburban as they will have a 30 spline inner shafts instead of the early 27s. With the 30 spline inners the 10 bolts are actually a little stronger than the D44s
