Does that exhaust valve open and close?

Re: Bought a rough running '04 Suburban
Oil pressure was the same as the 8.1 in the black Dually so no problem there....

You know, I haven't tried that yet. I will do that in the morning. Thanks! .

Re: Bought a rough running '04 Suburban
My 02 subruban is the best bang for your buck truck I've ever bought. I only use it for going to the lake or camping, but its perfect. I love it very much.

Re: Bought a rough running '04 Suburban
Magnetic oil plug or just glue a magnet on the pan. Once had a rocker shoot right over the adjusting nut and stud. Had a bunch of valve springs break and cause rocker carnage.

Re: Bought a rough running '04 Suburban
So the trick here is going to be to find a penny or something and jb weld it where the pushrod lands then proceed to fill the crack with the jb weld. The next step isnt really necessary but i like to run a zip tie around the whole thing to make it extra strong. Your welcome

By golly, I always appreciate a good tip or two to help me get the job done. I think I will use a ball peen hammer and put a little divot in the penny before I glue it in there. That will help center the push rod. I think I also have a couple of EXTRA HEAVY DUTY Zip Ties I can use. Thanks!

Be sure to use the black ones though. They say they last longer.

Re: Bought a rough running '04 Suburban
I have a stash of the "good home depot zip ties" that I save for just these types of jobs. i just don't trust the standard harbor freight ties for the important jobs.
