Yep, I was a little surprised with the 3OTT, most of the original owners seemed to have opted for the 4-speed. But I could kinda see swapping in an original 4-speed (or disguised later model NV) for strength on this truck. Agree 65 and earlier can be frustrating to figure out how the truck was originally equipped since there are no SPIDs till 66, generally speaking. Without original documentation, I'm not aware of a way to know what the original owner ordered when new - beyond guessing based on condition - but not proving. No matter what you see now, there's no way to prove definitively it hasn't been swapped in over the years.
