Cummins builds
Cummins is building gas engines now for Dodge trucks. Says diesel burners are coming to an end.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jzb3UG4jQ0 I don't buy Dodge products but this may mean something to those who do.

Re: Cummins builds
Scania is importing diesels for commercial trucks that don't require a DPF. Unfortunately, the "small" one is 13l. Why can't other diesel manufacturers figure out what Scania is doing?

Re: Cummins builds
The diesels the government buys don't require DEF systems.

Re: Cummins builds
The government doesent require any specific system (dpf, def, doc), all they care about is the emissions. It is up the manufacture of the engine to determine how they want to comply with the standard. In many cases a doc system is all that is needed to make the engine compliant.

Re: Cummins builds
Kalifornia won't allow pre Def diesels to be purchased out of state and brought in. I'll stop there, I don't want to get sent to my corner.

Re: Cummins builds
I bet, that's why I stock up on refreshments. I never know when or how many will be there....

I think everyone pretty much knows that political posts or threads are not allowed on the board. (direct or indirect) Thanks, LockDoc, Moderator .

Re: Cummins builds
If the diesel vehicles are used for combat and combat support, I can easily understand that exemption. Combat troops have enough other stuff to worry about.

Re: Cummins builds
We're talking about your regular, run-of-the mill diesel pickups used for utility work.
