Hood hinges on a 69 c10
Folks, I have found a couple of sets (used) of hood hinges that are both better than mine. I have installed both sets, and it's better but I can't get the rear of the hood to sit flush with the cowling. Are the aluminum hinges the way to go? Or is there a trick with the OEM style hinges? I have tried the full range of adjustments on the rear bolts, but still haven't got them to sit low enough to be flush.
Thanks, RonWT |

Are you able to push it down in to place after it's closed?
Mine was the same way, I could push both sides down and it would line up. I got new hinges and that fixed it.

Any slot left loosen and push up on the front of the hood. That is the normal adjustment for that condition. Jim
