The marine fuel filler I used is cast aluminum.

I took the marine fuel filler to a machine shop and had them drill and tap a hole for the 1/4 NPT 90* elbow to thread into. The 1/4 NPT to 3/8 barb elbow was also aluminum, and since its connected to a 3/8" rubber hose running from the gas tank, it acts as the air relief line while fueling.

***Make sure you don't use a brass fitting with an aluminum fuel filler as it will corrode over time since that would be a cation in direct contact with an anion in which the aluminum would slowly disappear.***

I don't have a picture yet, but I have included a 2D drawing outlining this. I'll try adding a picture later.

Cheers.
