Re: Needing help and has nothing to do with my age!
Well fellow truckers the mystery is solved. I went around to all my contacts close by and the majority said the problem is the carb. So another kit but this time I followed the instructions as painful as it was and I now am in love again. Took her to the golf course today and she ran like a 56 year old should. In conclusion when I took the carb apart I found that the little hanging clip for the needle was broken. The clip was still on the needle part but the part that clips onto the float wasn't there. I'm guessing that I had a stuck needle. The jury is out on where the broken piece has departed too. I'm glad my wife isn't around to witness my stupidity as she would never let me live it down. That's why we men have caves. Thanks for your input, much appreciated. Thanks again.
PS> I now know why it takes ten years to build a hot rod::::FAMILY:::: You spend 25 years raising and educating your kids and then send them out into the real world. What do they do????Breed! They then return on mass and figure the rules are the same. They now know it all so you don't dare let them near your projects.
