Electronic ignition

It's been a long time since I played down this road. Some terminology may not be correct.

Vehicle has a 327, seems to be factory electronic ignition. I seem to have no spark at the plugs. Cap, rotor, look ok. Removed coil cover. Checked wires, seem to be good here too.

Removed coil. Removed black washer/insulator. Removed spring but a part was left in the dizzy....

Looks like it's broke....

Would this be my issue?
If yes, what is the name of this part?

Thanks much...Don.

Re: Electronic ignition

Thats the carbon button that connects the center tower in the cap to the rotor. It's usually positively retained in the cap - not sure it can be replaced outside of replacing the cap...?
