Mom & Dad...
This is my 64th brthday and the first one that neither of my parents are here to celibrate it. Even more important than that it's their 76 anniversary and I can't call to tell them 'HAPPY ANNIVERSARY'.
I spent the better part of the day cleaning up dads old Craftsman tool box and making it's forever home in my shop.I hung his Mississippi flags up also.

Re: Mom & Dad...
Happy Birthday, Andy!
And Happy Anniversary to your folks. I know you can't call 'em on the phone. But you can still talk to 'em. I lost my dad 20 years ago, and I still talk to him sometimes. Especially when I'm using some of his tools.

Re: Mom & Dad...
Happy Birthday Andy and thanks for the post. A couple of years ago, I inherited my grandfather's Snap On toolbox when my Dad passed. Miss him everyday.

Re: Mom & Dad...
I miss them both and yes I do talk to them on a regular bases now. It seems like I think of them all the time now. I guess when they are alive we take for granted that they will be here all the time.

My dad died when I was 16. Everyday I see his humidor & pipe in the man cave I get a big smile. I swear I can still smell that tobacco.

My father and father in law are both gone and I thank each of them every time I use one of their tools. Used a pair of my father in laws snap ring pliers just the other day and actually said out loud, "thank you, George" when I finished.
