E Brake cable HELP PLEASE
Hi there! I need some help sourcing this brake cable so I'm consulting the experts! I have a 68 GMC 920 with a 4spd. I don't believe that this is a stock brake setup because it connects to the transmission and brakes the driveshaft, I believe. If any of you recognize the cable in the photo or could help me source one, I'd really appreciate it!!!

Re: E Brake cable HELP PLEASE
TonyM, Many GMCs had a brake drum apparatus attached to the drive shaft for the parking brake.

If Inline Tube doesn't have it, I would call them, I think they will custom make/duplicate.

Call Control Cables Inc 562-949-0455, Ed has made several for me and did a great job. Also his turnaround is quick.

Re: E Brake cable HELP PLEASE
Hi. My Canadian Language proficiency is a bit rusty, but does ''920'' mean 3/4 Ton? And do you have an SM 420 in a Model Year 1968?
I have a '68 Chevy C/10 Stepside from Fremont, CA, w/L6 292 and an SM 465. I do think the Prop Shaft Hand Brake is cool. I had to R&R the E-Brake cable my '71 GMC Jimmy [350/SM465/NP205/12-Bolt 3.73] earlier this year. You have my sincerest commiserations...
