1941 to 46 Front fender sizes
Help identifying 1/2 ton fenders from 1 ton fenders.
I have a pair of fenders that if you measure to the ground at the location where the running board attaches and at the center of the axle from the fender lip to the ground, then subtract the two measurements, I have 17 inches. Is that right for a half ton fender?

Re: 1941 to 46 Front fender sizes
I dont have my 42 green truck anymore so I dont have access to half ton fenders to verify what I have. I have figured out a way to measure them to tell the difference. the back edge of the front fender is bolted to the running board. that is the same on 1 ton and half ton. The size of the wheels dont matter. Even if you slammed it, it is still a measurement to the ground. Then if you measure at the center of the axle, from the ground to the fender edge. That is the second measurement. Subtract the two measurements and you end up with the half ton fender size. The one ton and larger will be a different measurement. Then when you are looking for parts you can use this info to help you find the right fender
