So, after much deliberation, I've decided to abandon the Roadrunner grille project. The dimensions of the swap and the logistics of designing and constructing the necessary pieces make it a formidable task. I'm sure a shop with unlimited resources could pull it off, but I'm not that guy. As much as I dislike the ho-hum stock setup, I think I can add a few touches here and there that improve the overall appearance. I've made several trips to storage to retrieve parts and pieces of the grille assembly to see what might work best.

The Roadrunner stuff I collected will become a piece of wall art. When the Fairlane is done, I want to move everything out of the shop into one of those storage pods and have the floor and walls painted. Every year when I go to World of Wheels, I get business cards from vendors that do man cave makeovers. One of these days...
