I've got the auxiliary tank that goes under the left front of the bed out in my pile of stuff and it is probably junk by now but it came with a piece that goes on the inside of the box to cover the hoses on the inside of the box. I'm thinking they use the seat tank grommet.
On my 71 I am just going to cut the gas door and sheet metal around it out of a donor rig I have and place it behind the left rear wheel and high enough so that I can fill the tank easily. I'm still a bit undecided as to exactly what tank I am going to run though. I've got a couple saved back but one may be a tad big.
