This is a depressing trend for somone who just wants a tailgate. I have a ~'72 8' Fleetside bed on a 1-tom frame ex-farm traiker. Cost me $200 in 2006. Never had a tailgate. Not the kinda project I would blow two grand on a tailgate for.
Actually, I've heard Squarebody tailgates will fit. The style lines are all wrong, and they're a couple inches higher, I hear, but it would keep junk from falling out the back on a dump run.
