All 71-72 2wd rearends were 5-lug.
Most every 1970 I have ever seen has been 6-lug and the same wider width that the 71-72 housings have.
Of course there are some that say the early 1970 trucks had the narrower housing.
4x4 stuff is all 6-lug but is totally different since they are set up for leaf springs.
And to confuse things more, there were 2wd c10’s that had leaf spring rearends also.
Both 6-lug and 5- lug.
