Thermostat Change on 250 i6. Thread sealer on bolts?

Hi guys, I will be swapping the thermostat on the 1969 250 i6

Question: Do the two thermostat housing bolts require thread sealer? I don’t recall if water has access into those two threads.

If thread sealer is needed, which loctite do you recommend?

Thank you!

Sorry, I don't know about inline 6's, but on a small block it isn't necessary.

For thread sealer, I like to use teflone tape.

Hopefully, someone more knowledgable on inline 6's will post the information you're looking for.

Thread Sealer isn't necessary on L6 T-Stat housings.
The Thermostat Housing is on an assembly that bolts onto the front of the block. No contact with the water jacket.
