Rats!

I currently have my '89 K1500 EC stored at a rural property where I also work. There's quite a variety of rodents. How the heck are rats getting in to the cab of my truck? Anyone experienced this problem. There are wood rats, ground squirrels, mice, and kangaroo rats. We've caught them all in traps in and around the shop. I had to repair the left headlight wiring on my K2500 because of rats chewing it up. The plug on the abs sensor got chewed also.
I was seeing evidence of what I thought was mice debris inside the cab so I set a trap. I caught what looked like a pretty healthy small rat in a trap. It was def bigger than a mouse.
