Oh, I see it now that I took a closer look, that blue is the gasket with a sealer on it too. Looked like some of the bright blue silicone we used to see long time ago. I've seen pans full of that mess before, clogs up all sorts of stuff, haha. The pans we had the worst problems sealing was the ones that had been jacked up on or the transmission dropped on It was hard to keep enough spare pans around, so we had to straighten them as much as we could to get it going. I never used a sealer for trans pans. If it didn't seal they would have to buy a good used or new pan.
It's been a while since I've done a 350, and I don't think that blue silicone gasket was made back then. But I have used one similar to this one pictured when we couldn't get a standard cork, or black neoprene gasket to seal. That's not a terrible price on that blue gasket if that's what it takes!
Hah, I gotta say, I don't miss all the headache, haha.

Was gonna wait a week or 10 days more but maybe white stuff here next week. So took ole Greenie and filled with premium and added some Stabil then loaded up the patio funiture in the box and off to the garage to hook up the Battery Tender for her indoor 6 month sleep.
