If you're only going to use the hoist twice, I'd recommend renting. I bought one because of the merry-go-round ride of engine rebuilds and swaps I used to do. I got it from Harbor Freight. It isn't super good, but it got the job done. It comes apart, so I can store it in one of my sheds.
