Lighting Harness
I bought a repo engine harness from Summit.
Cannot find any front lighting harness. Rear harness is ok. Any leads on stock replacement lighting harness? Thanks Thanks for all the responses I realized now that I should have a specified why I could not find a repo lighting harness. Number one it's a GMC and number two it's a 1967. I looked at the wiringharness.com site and the other suggestions and still nothing for a 67 gmc. I sent a email to gmc paul Iirc the bulkhead is different on a GMC and the wiring between GMC and Chevy is different. Please advise. Thanks Last edited by Renegadevtwin; Today at 05:37 AM. Re: Lighting Harness
Painless or American auto wire I would think be able to help. Also GMCPaul is good at knowing what is best available.

Re: Lighting Harness
These wiring harnesses have gotten so expensive in the last couple years. I went looking for the American Autowire 22220 that you posted the picture of and said $344.... thankfully they can be had for less than that. Summit has it for ~$250

Re: Lighting Harness
I'm not sure about the re-pop harnesses, but I think the stock harness used 14 gauge wire for high and low beams. It's a long trip from the battery and alternator through the firewall, to the light switch, and back out to the headlights. I would I highly suggest 12 gauge even with standard wattage bulbs. I've heard that M&H will do this for you.

Re: Lighting Harness
That's is interesting. I think I would give M&H a call.
I looked in their printed catalog and they list a front light harness for a 1968 GMC. Not sure how different that would be from 1967 because I think 1967 and 1968 chevrolet are the same. 22535 1968 FORWARD LAMP HARNESSK5, With Gauges $332.00 39212 1968 FORWARD LAMP HARNESS-INT REG ALT DRIVER SIDE K5, With Gauges $366.00 Note: Modified For Driver Side Mounted 1972-84 Non-Serpentine Belt ("SI" Series) Internal Regulated Alternators. 39287 1968 FORWARD LAMP HARNESS-INT REG ALT PASSENGER SIDE K5, With Gauges $381.00 Note: Modified For Passenger Side Mounted 1972-84 Non-Serpentine Belt ("SI" Series) Internal Regulated Alternators. 22530 1968 FORWARD LAMP HARNESSPickup, With Gauges $318.00 39063 1968 FORWARD LAMP HARNESS-INT REG ALT DRIVER SIDE Pickup, With Gauges $353.00 Note: Modified For Driver Side Mounted 1972-84 Non-Serpentine Belt ("SI" Series) Internal Regulated Alternators. 39211 1968 FORWARD LAMP HARNESS-INT REG ALT PASSENGER SIDE Pickup, With Gauges $366.00 Note: Modified For Passenger Side Mounted 1972-84 Non-Serpentine Belt ("SI" Series) Internal Regulated Alternators. |
