Sill protection?
Does anybody know of any pre-cut paint protection film (PPF) kits for door sills for C/K trucks? I bought and applied a sill kit to my newer model Bronco and it's awesome. But I can't seem to find the same for a C/K truck.
If I can't find a pre-cut kit, I'll make my own... Thanks |

Re: Sill protection?
I didn't use a pre-cut kit but I went down to Ace Hardware and got some non skid step material and cut it to fit. Not see thru but it worked well and it was cheap. Kind of a black/gray color.
Or check with a local body shop to see if they can buy small amounts of see thru. |

Re: Sill protection?
Thanks for the suggestions!
Hard to tell, but it sounds like the LMC kit is a 5' roll, not precut. But it's 2-3/4" wide, which maybe is a specific width that LMC sources because I don't see it elsewhere. I ordered a 6" x 5' roll of 3M clear from Amazon. I'm going to do the gauge cluster lens (like a screen protector) and cut the roll to 3" for the sills. I'll apply it all the way up to the top of the wiring channel and if there's excess width, I'll trim it off there. That way I'll have a nice straight line on the outer edge. |
