Radiator id help
I am hoping someone can tell me what I have and what I need to make it right.
1985 Suburban, 350/700R4. I believe I have a big block radiator in it. The dimensions are 29" wide 21" tall and 2 1/4 deep. The shroud is a two piece and fits horrible. PO made some crappy straps to hold all this stuff together and I can't stand it. It looks like I might be missing a separate cover panel as well. LMC has a few different parts, wondering if some will work. I want a shroud that fits properly and installed correctly with the correct brackets etc. Thank you in advance.

Re: Radiator id help
there are supposed to be some rubber pieces on top where the factory top clamps to the radiator and the top half of the shroud is missing some clips and bolts not to mention it appears cracked

Re: Radiator id help
No clue on what is proper for your suburban but what is in my 75 C10 is a 3 row radiator that is about 34" wide, 19 high and 2.75 thick.
It is a replacement but was obtained when several old school radiator shops still existed and you could get parts that matched OEM. 350/TH350 w/AC. Sounds like a PO made something fit that wasn't OEM sized. |

Re: Radiator id help
TIP: to tell what core you have. Remove the rad cap look in the hole if you can see the tube count how many if there all open that will be the count of flows, if any are blocked off don't count that one. i.e.: 3 open tubes it's 3core. If it has 4 tubes but only 3 are open 3 core.
