Clearance Measurement Needed on 55-57

I am hoping someone can provide a quick clearance measurement. I have a 57 (55 grill) and VA condensor up front, and looking to see how much clearance between condensor and grill I can expect for a trans cooler in front. I would like to mount condensor mounting lips on the outside of the radiator support bracket, vice inside. That way I can run bolts through from outside to caged nuts on support. If I have to run mounting bolts fom inside, the heads will make contact with my aftermarket radiator. Anyone have a similar, VA and additional trans cooler set up?

Thanks much, Jim

It sounds like you're looking for a measurement between the front of the core support and the back of the grille? Is your radiator mounted in the original V8 location or the six cylinder location?

Original V8 radiator:

Thanks. Yes, from the front of the core support to the back of the grill. Although, I am running a 2nd gen Camaro sub, I believe the support is in what was the straight 6 cyl position.

Okay. It looks like just under 2 in from the back of the grill to the front of the core support in the six cylinder position. Seems like a really tight space.
