Hurco autobend 7 backgage / premier pressbrake help
I just bought a used 96 premier 425-2 pressbrake equipped with a hurco backgage for pretty cheap. I bought it with no info whatsoever and I've never used this brand of brake and backgage. I have used accupress pressbrakes with their brand backgage which is ets1000.
While going over it and giving it a deep clean I noticed that there was what looked to be a broken sensor hanging, the name on it is acu-rite 5ųm absolute zero II. Come to find out that is part of a glass scale which is used on the control of the ram. Been calling around and leaving voicemails with company's and no luck whatsoever. I'm wondering if anyone has one of these machines and can post a Pic of how the sensor is mounted to the machine, because looking at mine I only see one mounting hole on the frame of the machine for the sensor. I do have the two mounting holes on the ram part for the glass scale part too. Then my real question is has anyone have experience with retrofitting new scales in place of old ones. I've found one that I think will work but the cables are different. The hurco uses a flat 9 pin connector (but only uses 8 of the pins- but also uses 10 wires in it, 2 pins have double wires on them) while the one I found has a 9 pin connector (db9). Also if there is any other option out there that i can do im all ears. It's kinda a paperweight without this part and I did talk to one company that can take the hurco and retrofit it with their parts but that system is more than double what I paid for this thing |
