Front power disc brake hard lines

I just install the Right Stuff front power disc brake conversion on my 65 C10. Can someone recommend a pre bent hard line kit that they have actually used for this type of setup? So far, I have tried Right Stuff, CPP and Inline Tube. They all have fitment issues. I am not interested in making my own lines at this point but that may change. I don't mind paying for something that fits and looks nice. Any help would be awesome. Thanks,

Re: Front power disc brake hard lines

Some of the after-market lines are bent to go in front of the cross-member, like a 1972 C10. They leave this part out of the description. To convert it requires access to the cross-member that is under the engine. It is almost impossible to run new lines with the motor installed.
I fought this same situation and found the flexible line provided was too long and would rub when the tires were hard over. I ended up with 3 different hoses before I found one that would work.
I read where GM ran the lines differently depending on the truck assembly site.

The bottom line is I don't know of any steel lines that will fit as manufactured. Even inline tube lines didn't fit my application.

They say "Inline Tube is the industry leader. From disc brake conversions to DIY kits, trust in the industry leading experts."
It's pretty much BS. If you call them, they have no interest in correcting anything.

We are stuck with what we have, and that means making it work with whatever. Sometimes you can get the lengths of brake tubing at the local auto parts store to work for you.
I eventually took this to heart and purchased bulk tubing, a double flaring tool, and benders and built my own. I wished someone would have let me in on this industry joke beforehand. My caveat is if you are replacing the lines on an all-stock truck you may get something that works.
My two cents worth.

Re: Front power disc brake hard lines

I used the CPP kit for manual front disc brakes and rear drum. I ordered a prebent kit for POWER disc from inline tube. I didn't see that they had a manual front disc/rear drum line kit. I called them before I ordered. They said they don't have a manual disc/drum prebent line set. I was told that the lines on the frame and to the rubber hoses would all be the same. The issue would be the lines that run up to the MC may be too short since the MC will be up against the firewall not moved forward with the added booster. I thought I would go ahead and take the chance and hope that I will have enough play in the lines to the MC to make up the difference.

All of the lines needed some slight straightening or bending to fit. My truck is no where near complete, and I have not done a final install, but they all look like they will work just fine aside from the above mentioned question with the length of the lines that connect to the MC. I am waiting on new clips for attaching to the frame to do the final routing along the frame.

The thing that didn't work was even though this is a disc brake conversion kit, the fittings for the front disc hoses were the wrong size. I had to buy an adapter to connect the hard lines to the hose. I called Inline tube and they had the adapters. The explanation was this sometimes happens when mixing kits from different companies which is a concern I have had with some of the changes I am making to the truck. I found them locally, so I didn't pay for shipping. That was the only glaring issue I had. But again, I have not completely finished the install. Pictures will be in my next video on You Tube as soon as I receive the clips so you can see how mine went in.
