O/T: 96 tahoe

Howdy all,
I have a 96 Chevy tahoe w/ a 5.7 and last thursday it developed a heavy noticable loss in power and miss, so i went to a friends and put a computer on it and it came up with a "random misfire" on no. 1 cyl. and no. 4 cyl, so i put a cap and rotor on it and it helped a lot, but there is still a slight miss. i put new spark plugs in it friday, and the wires are only a couple months old.....any suggestions on what this might be?i had a mechanic tell me that the the 1 and 4 cylinders are on the same intake runner and the intake gasket might be leaking but it hasn't used any antifreeze. I myself thought it might be an injector problem or bad wires, i haven't had time to check the wires......sorry for the long post, and all help is appreciated.
thanks,
kevin
