Windshield Questions
What holds the windshield in place? Is it glued in place or is it just the rubber molding? Im asking because I am thinking about throwing my '74 together and it needs a windshield and I have a parts truck with a good windshield. Has anyone done this before? Thanks a ton for any help.

Re: Windshield Questions
Yes it’s the gasket that holds it in place. It takes two people to put one in, unless you’ve done hundreds of them and are good. First put the rubber in place on your truck, then take a peace on strong but thin string and run it around the rubber in the grove. Then take and press the glass against the rubber, spray it with LOTS of soap water, and one person pushes on the window while the other pulls the string. It’s a real pain and it will probably take a couple of attempts the first time you do it. They sell a kit that has a cable or something in it that I’ve seen but I’ve always used the string.

Re: Windshield Questions
Oh and make sure your rubber is still good or it will leak. Now would be a good time to replace it unless it’s only a couple of years old. If it’s stock I would buy a new one.
