Bought this a week or so ago.($1500)
this is my first project of this size and I might be biting off more then i can handle. Im learning quick. Pretty sweet ride.hopefully have everything done by next summer. Things to do... 6-8" lift wheels/tires paint all new weather stripping throughout all interior needs redone..so basically everything. fix heater fix both a/c units clean up motor(runs..but not great) new bumpers...off road style. rear bumper will be spare tire and gas can holder. roof rack wih a lite bar. winch in front bumper ![]() 72 suburban 1/2ton 4x4 air-conditioning/rear air(rear air??pretty rare?) little rust here and there. Driver door was rusted out. Got a door off a truck. I thought it would swap out with no issues. Thought wrong. ![]() Before ![]() After some patches of rust in a few areas... So i bougt a welder today and decided i could patch the rust myself.=D upon fixing the rust patch i found 2 more below it..omg finished patch..lol ![]() ive had these tires in the shop for about 2 years. so i decided to put them up for sale..but im having second thoughts. I would have to swap out the axles though..1/2 ton=6 lug and these are 8 lug off my current truck.(pic below) but swapping axles wouldnt be a bad thing. ![]() craigslist pic..couple people have called. because this looks pretty damn good. ![]() i put it on my lift to get a look at what it could look like. Planning on painting it..already started pulling glass and once it is patched/sanded/bondo/...ill paint it in here. im thinking satin black. i bought a sample for the cloth for the interior. ill post pic once i get it in the mail. now onto the question... are parts available for rear air? i didnt realize it was an option back then. any info will help! thanks |
