what would be the best ratio for hauling/ getting more power to the ground in a 14 bolt axle?

Re: rear axle ratios
That is way to vague...
Tire size? Transmission? Highway? Engine size/modifications?

Re: rear axle ratios
My 78 GMC either has 3.73s or 4.10s in the Corporate 14 bolt. I like them just wish it had an overdrive in the tranny for highway cruising but, I wouldn't trade my TH-400 for anything. The 454 is very thirsty...LOL.

Re: rear axle ratios
if ya aint worryed about milage go with 4.56s you will pull enything... even trailers with square wheels! id say 3.73s are good if you still want good milage ya just have to rev it up a little more between gears. what gears do you have now? i thought a 14 bolt should have kinda steeper gears anyway
