swapping to a cs144

Okay so I've read the guides and i've even suggested it to others before, but I haven't personally done it yet. What im wondering is it really that simple to switch over from a 10si? I plan on getting a remanufacterd 140 amp cs144 alternator off a buick roadmaster off rockauto.com before i spend the 100$ on the alternator Im curious if its really that simple and all I need to do is mount it and use that little harness/adpater, another concern is do the pulleys swap out? Im not using a serpentine belt in my truck and im pretty sure the cs144 is set up for a serpentine system.
