New drop and tow project. ???'s

Hello all. Not really new to the board(been here a few years) but don't post much because I didn't have a truck to talk about............until now. Long story shortened, I got a 78' long fleet 2wd given to me. Needs a motor but thats no issue at all, I'll just build one I got cores. It's got a 4 speed in it which is ok fine with me, and very little/if any rust believe it or not lol. SOOOOO..........Questions.........

My plan is to tow my open trailer with my 67' Buick Special drag car on it to the track. Not worried at all about speed getting there. I race at the track with the car. But I want to lower the truck. As much as possible actually so it will look good when I drive it. So how much of a drop am i looking at, yet keeping with reality in towing with it(have load control bars and sway setup already) ???? Maybe a 3"/5" or 4"/6" with some helper/tow bags on the rear when the trailers on ? I've read on here a bit and kinda thinking a 1 1/2 coil cut out of the front. Would that make anywhere close to 3"s ? And where do I read more about lowering the rear like with shackles(sp) and hangers ? I will get busy abusing the search function. But if any of yall would like to just tell me how to do it it would be much appreciated lol. Anywayssssssssss.....

Looking forward to being able to participate onboard with the new truck. Soon as I can if anyone interested I will toss up some pix. And thanks in advance...........
