Hello all, recently I got bite by the bug so I started searching for a project. I was scouring Texas' craigslist looking for a victim(lol), when finally a friend asked me about a mutual friend of ours. I didn't know the friend of ours had a truck much less was willing to sell it. So after a little convincing he let me come look at it. It had been sitting in a barn for 2+ years and I had never personally seen the truck. After airing up 4 flat tires, 2 of which were slicks, we hooked up a strap and pulled her out. I immediately knew I wanted the truck. It had been previously restored according to receipts around 98-99. Fuel tank has been relocated to under the bed, Gm 330hp vortec crate motor, built t400 with 2800 stall,a 12 bolt with 3.73s and a posi, and a few other minor upgrades. After looking over it for about 30 mins we settled on a price and I loaded it up and took it home. I was told it hadn't ran in some time but I'm not afraid of a challenge. After draining a coolant/oil mix out of the oil pan, I prayed it was only an intake gasket leak, which it was. After a carb rebuild and a couple hundred bucks in other random replaceables I had it running. Got to drive it this weekend finally and it was a blast. Have a few plans for it, but right now I just want to drive it. Eventually I would like to bag it and change the rims. Once I figure out how to load pictures I'll be sure to get some loaded.
