Peter if you have heat gun and heat the cap up from the underside I will make it very easy to get the old one off. Carb cleaner will help lift the old glue.

I use this to remove all sorts of adhesives. Doesn't make the plastic brittle like some brake or carb cleaners.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the tips. I've removed these in the past on a different vehicle and remember it was a pain to get the centers clean of all residue. I'll definitely use these tips.
