Calling all crew cab builders
I came across a 1972 suburban that would be perfect for a crew cab build. Its cheap. No engine, trans. 1/2 ton axles. It has weird stuff like Cadillac tail lights... Bad rattle can paint job.
The doors look very nice. The rockers look good. The only problem I can see is the roof has been cut out of it. A huge rectangle for a skylight or something. I'm talking front to back. About 3" in from the drip rail. The cut out piece is still there. Its duct taped back in place. I can't see the quality of the cut under the tape. (maybe I could just weld it back?) I would definitely lower the roof line down on it. Listing price is $950. Guy claims almost zero rust. Its 4 hours from me with a trailer. I'm thinking $500 MAX on it. What do you think?
