The infection grows
I finally made another life changing purchase. I decided enough running around with a 9mm. It's time to make it right. Assuming the UPS plane doesn't crash I will have my first (notice the phrasing there) 1911.
It's a RIA 5", extended beavertail, Novak sights and ambi safety. Model # 51448 to be exact. One of the first changes will be an arched main spring housing from Wilson Combat. They just fit me better. At the same time I will try out the Wilson Combat checkered foil piece that fits under the grips. I might even do some trigger work after I run a few hundred rounds through it for break-in. I'm also thinking some Philippine mahogany double diamond grips to contrast the matt nickle finish. As time goes I might decide to change the barrel and bushing. Maybe even a 2 piece guide rod. I don't know yet, we'll see. It's time for me to get that RL550 I suppose. This thing may get hungry and that's the best way i can think of to feed it
