72 with New Leather Seats
I'm fairly new to the board... I recently got back into buying-trading-selling classics chevy's and this is the latest project... 72 K20 350 Auto
The old seat actually had wood slats cut to fit to replace the springs >> Not a nice ride! I bought 2014 second row seats from a Tahoe and built a custom frame to lower the seat to the right level and use the factory seat bolt holes. I made it so the seats still fold and flip as well. Total swap time was about 7-8 hours but now I have a template. I am going to do the same swap in a 66 I'm building also! There wasn't much room to adjust the seat to the front or back so I didn't worry with putting sliders... I just made the seat legs with 2 1/2" slots so you can loosen the seat and slide it forward. Not convenient but they look fantastic! Here is a before and after. The Truck gets listed on Ebay tomorrow with No Reserve - I am ready for the next project! |
