Replacing Spindles - Lower Control Arm Issue

I'm putting 2.5" drop spindles and disc brakes on my son's '63 C10...

I've got the old drum brakes off. I've removed the 2 castle nuts from the spindle as well as removed the shock...

I have a jack under the lower control arm.

My problem is this.. i can't get the lower control arm to free up and 'drop'. I've tried using my tie rod separator by prying it in and it still won't drop.

Any advice?
