Cleaning up the original wheels for the ’68 CST/Custom Camper
Since I have some decent 8.75x16.5 tires I decided to clean up the original wheels and caps for the ’68 CST/Custom Camper before I put them on. I’m not looking for a show quality restoration here, I just want to freshen them up. The wheels are the optional 8.25x16.5 8 bolt steel wheels for the clip on style hub cap.
The first picture is one of the pictures I took in the salvage yard before I bought the truck in 2011. The next two are before and after sandblasting the rust off and the third one is painted. Last picture is one of the hubcaps cleaned, but I haven’t started painting them yet. LockDoc
