Question 1997 Vortec 350 build,,need some suggestions if anyone can help

I have 1997 c1500 with a Vortec 350 that was put in brand new about 40,000 miles ago. I want this motor to be making around 375-400hp while keeping it my daily driver. Performane parts are sorta difficult to find for the Vortec. So please, anyone that knows of intake, and cam etc that will help to get the power I want let me know.

The marine intake conversion is the only real performance up grade I know of. Heres a link to a lengthy thread. It's pretty good. i haven't read the whole thing. it seemed like too much for me.

i would convert to a marine intake if running Vortec fuel injection. i have a GM 454 TBI on mine that has been bored and polished. for the heads, have your spring pockets machined, install screw in studs, larger valves, a little porting on the exhaust side. mine is running a .522 lift hyd roller cam from Comp Cams. i am running headman shorties and 2.5 in exhaust. might wanna consider changing to LT1 rods and add a 3.75 in stroke crank. just my 2 cents
